Correcting myself - he did NOT buy the gun. He’d have to have it shipped to an actual dealer in his home state, and do the background check BS there before receiving the gun. Such is the state of things in the US now.

why ? SC has no permit\registration requirements for buying a pistol\gun.
I don't see any residency requirements...
The legality question was about him being under felony idictment...so it would probably be an NICS issue ?
