I’d only list Clinton Township as a single upper before middle class. If you want the upper-upper category, you’d have to go north a littler further like Washington Township (easily $800k+ homes, mainly fed by people going back & forth to GM headquarters complex). However it’s all Macomb county, the third battlezone for Detroit area votes. Wayne county has their own rules for elections aside from the states, Oakland county is upper shelf corrupt from county commissioners to school boards to library boards (but we’re working on overcoming the latter two.)
Macomb county currently has a commissioner named Mark Hackell that is the former sheriff’s son. His dad was sheriff for a long time, until some big issue with hookers ousted him. Then his son was voted in as sheriff for many years, and is now county executive after they added the position as part of the government.
I’m sure it was all legitimate.
