I got so PO’d while out shopping today. We came out of Lowes Hardware store and there was a pickup parked there with the Mexican Flag flying behind.
Our city has become a sister city to Colima, Mexico. That is where most of the Mexicans here in Pasco, WA have come from. Tonight they again had a contingent from Colima come and put on a program at our court house. I guess that makes it alright to fly the Mexican flag in the US. :-(
That would be rather strange to see - it’s one thing to immigrate to another country, but it’s another to fly the flag of the country you LEFT....at least publicly.
I saw that all the time when they lived in Bakersfield, Mexican flags. And people refusing to speak English if they even could. There would be no point to somebody coming over illegally to even have learned english, everything was in Spanish even the schools. On the East side, which was predominantly hispanic, the teachers were told they had to teach in spanish. I know this because I met a couple of white students at my son’s charter school and their parents said the teachers told them to get the kids out of there. And those were the good teachers, I’m sure lots of other kids were trapped.
It used to make me so mad seeing and hearing that. Moving here was a blessing. And now I’m getting so used to it I’m taking it for granted, thank you for reminding me to be grateful. Although with Biden’s plan, they’re going to be invading everywhere.
