Good morning! Well at least it is for me.

Black Mouth Cur. I had to look that one up. Very energetic, protective, loyal.

I like dogs, but I want small lap dogs that I can hold and pet. I am fond of the Shih Tzu and Yorkie. Every day I battle with myself if I should get another one or not. Not seems to win out so far. :-(

Hi Spunky!

I enjoy the dogs, just like I enjoy the farm, once removed. Lol I don’t have any responsibility at all. Just watch the animals do their thing, listen to the various birds, and enjoy the fruits of someone else’s labor lol.

Yesterday I was out at about 7:30 on the deck with my coffee, when I saw a squirrel run up one of the big maple trees on the front lawn. Well, about two minutes later, my SIL with his newest Cur came around the corner, the dog furiously sniffing the ground. He found the tree the squirrel had run up, and stood there barking to alert Matt as to where it was lol. Matt got his gone, his son came out with his gun, the dog barking like mad and the firing began. Three shots later, the squirrel fell from the tree, the dog grabbed it, and that was that.

It was a quite the redneck morning lol. It was then I realized where the phrase “barking up the wrong tree” must have originated lol.

Little lap dogs are perfect companions. I know a few people who have them and love them dearly. I would worry about walking it often enough, and what would happen to it if something sudden happened to me. That would be my concern. But they are adorable.
