The CEO of a dinky public broadcasting station in Rochester, New York hauls down about $500,000 a year. I mean, they probably have an audience of 750 people, and he makes more than the president.

Family money? And depends when they bought it. All of DC - well, almost all - is gentrifying. The Capitol Hill neighborhood is very nice, with fine old homes and prices have gone up, up, up. (Old row house around Howard U are going for a million also). Of course ten blocks east across H Street is a whole ‘nother story.
