Health care, education, welfare, those are enormous categories, yes.
I estimate @5.5% of GDP (1,400 Billion) is being wasted (not spent, that is 18.2% of GDP) on healthcare alone. The whole DOD is just 3.5% of GDP. Spending on the Ukraine war is 0.33% of GDP.
You should be swarming public officials and the courts to cut regulations that inflate medical costs. If the Germans, French, Swedes and Japanese can do it, you can too. All you need to do is hang a few thousand villains.
When I post to someone on your thread it doesn’t mean that I want to get on your ping list.
I don’t watch those videos anyway, I don’t click on your links either, or even read your posts about sites and their reporting, that isn’t how I get the information I am looking for.
“The vast majority of voters aren’t interested, they want pork.”
I agree many just want pork.
As well as, many express their disparagement with U.S. policy to give Ukraine military assistance. If monies aren’t feathering their nest or going toward their ‘backyard’ their complainting become Huuuge!
Money, that is why this is left to continue on here.
Aside from that. Word is that NATO is to have naval exercises in the black sea. Hopefully it’s just a rumor because if not, there will be a direct confrontation between both sides. That happens and very good chance of a serious escalation..very possible a nuclear exchange with Russia dropping one in the midst of NATO naval ships.
I wouldn’t want to live on the east coast. Even Jacksonville FL
Contacts in eastern Europe have told me that the Ukies are sending gangs in to collect Ukrainian people and forcing them back to fight. Won’t hear of it though through the oh so gallant and honest media..those things are not to be talked about
The escalations will be done for one reason
Biden is in trouble polically and an escalation, no matter how fatal or serious, will be done to save his criminal enterprise.
And pigs support this on here.
I get the Big Picture just fine.
The Biden regime is committing Russia to show what it has.
Russia is not going to do that with Ukraine.
We are stealing from our citizens for this game.
The children of both from the 90’s will be killed.
The Democrats in DC could not care less, Trump did care.
This is a "flame war", isn't it? My great, great grandfather told me about these!
Russia is strategically losing at this point. Crimea lost its water, their bridge from Russia is damaged, and the naval facilities in Crimea are being attacked.
No problem. I appreciated your comment:
“We want more welfare now at FR?”
You just happened to be on forum. Not on my ping list. :)
Flame wars are older than radiation detection devices.
I wish it was that fun.
These days are more complicated with the youngers coming in.
They seem to have a lack of USA history.
“””Not on my ping list. :)”””
Yet you put me in a group ping and started pinging me to repeated generic posts.
You are a Conservative patriot? ππππππππ. Yeah, a real patriot who posts nothing about domestic politics. You are such an Alpha Henry. Patriot my @ss!
And the problem with the border is a matter of policy, not resources. Thats the root of it. You have the means to control the border, Trump did it pretty well. I think he just wanted an extra @5 billion for the wall, which would be useful but not critical. That is really small change.
The real problem is that you have powerful domestic interests, currently in charge, that dont want that border controlled. This is not a fiscal problem, it is political.
Aid to Ukraine is irrelevant.
“You are a Conservative patriot? π”
You are entitled to your opinion :)
“I wouldnβt want to live on the east coast.”
I agree there are many places I would choose not to live.
However, I disagree with you.
I am very GRATEFUL to be a U.S. citizen & would reside anywhere stateside.
Wow! Where is his Mom!
I have six general histories of the US on my shelves (I like Paul Johnsons; I even have Zinn, to cover all bases), five on the revolution, seven on the US Civil War (including both Foote and Catton), @100 on parts of the Civil War, US politics, important figures, etc. And another 200-odd on the US in the 20th century. Add economic, technical, military and social subjects that pertain to the US.
Thats out of the 1000-odd volumes I took from San Francisco to Bilbao, mostly history. I left behind (gave away) another 2000 volumes, and that all certainly doesn’t include a fraction of all the books I have read in my life.
So, does that constitute a lack of USA history? I think I am well qualified to teach some subjects in universities, assuming they actually want to teach history.
Did your teachers give you good Marks in your comprehension classes?
Just a question.
