While you addressed the question to Rocco DiPippo, I thought to examine the source for your graphic.
Right click allows the source to be captured. Your source for the graphic is:
https://psmag.com/.image/c_limit%2Ccs_srgb%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_700/MTYyOTA3NDEzNzUyNTg4MTI5/marine_scout_snipers_with_ss_flag-1.webpOne might conclude that you read Democrat-led web sites, invested in " controlling carbon emissions, among other issues." One reads further of your choice for a graphic, "Before joining Grist, Brady spent his career working in philanthropy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and served two terms in the Washington State Legislature, representing central Seattle."That URL tracks back to psmag.com, and that website when queried with "About" states of itself: "Grist has acquired Pacific Standard."

Grist Magazine, and both are nicely related to Brady Piñero Walkinshaw, who is a Democrat and, according to WIKI ---
"Brady Walkinshaw, a former state representative from Seattle, was hired as Grist's CEO in March 2017. Walkinshaw unsuccessfully campaigned to represent the Washington's 7th congressional district in 2016 on a platform of controlling carbon emissions, among issues."

Isn't it interesting what one might find, with a few clicks?
Good sleuthing! 👍
Why didn't you also right click on the image and use google lens to find where else the image had been posted and commented on?
A few examples.
So I could have chosen any one of those sources, except for those that have restrictions on posting images to Free Republic. As you can see the image has been posted on websites which are associated with all kinds of political views, from Fox News, to the NY Post, to Spotter Up and a crazy Russian anti-American website that likes Alexander Dugin.
You might make all kinds of "conclusions", but most of us would just call them fantasies.
The photo is from 2012. All of the changes in ownership, hiring of CEOs, and political events you cited happened years later.
What does something that happened in 2017 have to do with a photo posted in 2012?
How does trying to tie people who had nothing to do with the photograph, or even its posting in 2012 mean anything other than you are trying to create a false narrative?
"This September 2010 photo posted recently on the Titiusville, Fla.,-based arms manufacturer Knight's Armament's Internet blog"
In case you didn't know that's a place that a lot of anti gun, tree hugging leftist hippies hang out.
