A frightening glimpse into the very disturbed mind of a liberal
Crooks and Liars ^ | 9/9/23 | Scott Murphy

As you all know Jimmy Buffett died last week. His music was iconic. I was one of the biggest JWB fans ever but when he started getting political, and incessantly bashed President Trump, he became persona non grata with me.

If you have never visited the "crooks and liar" website, prepare yourself to be dumbfounded by the venom and total disconnection from reality that exists there. It makes the DU actually look sane.

Insanity runs rampant among them. The fact that they had to work hard to achieve things seems to escape a lot of them. “celebs” that is.

The posts about the economy flourishing under democrats and failing under Republicans is indicative of a pathological disconnect from reality. For a while I thought I was on Babylon Bee.

The left confirm daily that liberalism is both a social and mental disease curable only by assumption of room temperature. The most hilarious thing about them is they consider themselves the intellectually superior ones.

Hell, you don’t need to go on that site, just go to Twitter.

But, after seeing that site and knowing what Twitter is all about, if those two sites aren’t perfect arguments for a national divorce I challenge someone to tell me why.

The two sides cannot coexist. But, sadly, although I don’t think their numbers are high enough to truly take over, there are enough “quiet, complicit, moderate, shrug their shoulder” types that ignore what’s going on around them. As long as house on their street doesn’t become Section 8. Or as long as their kids school isn’t overrun with LBGTQ+ and MS13.

No better place to see that than the Cumming, Ga area. Pretty Conservative area. Law and Order. God forbid you try and drive around there and run errands. You’ll sit at a light for at least a couple of cycles or more. Now they’re planning on some monstrosity, mixed-use development, 19k seat arena for concerts and another hockey team. As if the Atlanta metro area didn’t have enough concert venues.

Folks up there will be giddy with excitement, until the construction begins, traffic gets worse than it already is and their taxes go through the roof. But, hey, the Indian kids raise the GPA for all the schools, they got a new dog park and their taxes didn’t go up as much as they thought they would.

I live in Pawleys Island, SC, which is about a half hour south of Myrtle Beach. Pawleys’ demographic is primarily retired and affluent. It is also overwhelmingly Conservative. When I see the insanity present on that website it makes me thankful I live in a community that is grounded in reality and Conservative values. There are democrats living here, and of course I have no problem with that, but they are not vocal, it would not be tolerated.

I grew up in a very strong union and Democrat family.

I attended a university that has been compared to Berkeley.

I despise unions and the Democrat party.

People can change.

Myrtle Beach....Murder Beach. Place is an absolute cesspool.

My mom lives just north of you.

On behalf of her, I admire the fact that you and your fellow Pawley’s Island residents are not allowing your community to be destroyed by over-development like what is taking place in Murrell’s Inlet.

Lots of cars being driven with NY, NJ, Pa and Ohio plates. Can only hope that they’re Republicans escaping the north.

It is absolutely disgusting what the corrupt county commissioners are allowing to happen. The days of that stretch of 17 being a nice quiet, waterfront town seem to be over.

And, from what I hear, Georgetown is an absolute nightmare. Its city council voted to have all of its meetings in secret, no residents allowed, as they sell out their neighbors to every developer in sight.

Truly sad. But then again, SC is filled with more RINOs per capita as anywhere else in the country, so it’s to be expected.

Buffett was an entertainment industry nitwit, and I suspect it's one of many reasons why otherwise law-abiding citizens obtain unauthorized or used copies of music and movies.

The world will celebrate someone like Buffet. He glamorized drinking and being a beach bum. I don’t get the appeal. Maybe he was a nice guy. Hopefully he was saved. But zfg about his death. I’m not going to act like he was some great iconic hero like this evil world does.

The people who will be celebrated in heaven usually receive no earthly praise upon their passing.

Celebrity worship is one of the major causes of the destruction of American society.

I think how hard celebs worked to get there is questionable.

Myrtle can definitely be a rough place, especially during times when it is inundated with college kids. I never go there if I am not conceal carrying. But it does have it's positive points. There are some great restaurants there, the boardwalk (and Skywheel) are awesome and there are some great attractions like the Ripleys Believe it or Not museum.

When I see all the yankee plates all I think to myself is “yankee go home, we don’t need your liberal disease here and we don’t need your snowbird money either”

I try to avoid them.

It’s bad enough when Raw Story, Salon, and PuffHo pop up on the Bing landing page.

I know one such liberal who touts his open mindedness by claiming that he watches Fox News to balance the propaganda that CNN and its ilk pump into his brain, and that he reflexively parrots. He accepts without question the false notion that Fox is right wing when Fox, as it exists now, is nothing of the sort.

I remember the day when he was bubbling with glee when CNN announced the “Russian collusion” lie, convinced that the end of Trump was at hand.

He is convinced that his world view is absolute truth, and that anyone who disagrees with him is, at best, stupid. He has no interest in any honest discussion.

His mind is closed like a bank vault at midnight.
