To the best of my recollection, “AF1 has been used previously when flying over foreign territory.
Protocol has been “nocallsign” over US soil changing to AF1 once beyond the territorial waters.

Only once was the AF1 moniker used over the US.
For about 45 mins as he returned from overseas (Poland, maybe?).
He was inside the 3 miles limit and skirting the Long Island coast.

I have an image from that trip where he traveled from Belgium to Poland and the id was “n/a”.

Seriously, I cannot recall where he was ever designated “AF1”. Maybe I didn’t see it because I wasn’t looking at the time.

Shouldn’t there be a couple of escorts tagging AF-1?. Or maybe we’re just looking at another decoy. There was a TV pic of SloJoe boarding in India and they had a one-flight ladder set up for Stumbles. Looked like they were loading him in the cargo bay?. The normal ramp for the Prez’s quarters is three flights up. At first glance I thot the plane wasn’t Big Bird because of the short ladder. They sure jump thru hoops to keep his Mumbleness on the move?
