Well, truth be told, #1 got the gist of my asking.
Some things, although they do not have addictive properties, can cause a (craving, desire) for their effects on the body and brain.

I was asking if the “flush” was something to be achieved and whether it is hungered-after in its taking; that one is let-down if the flush doesn’t appear.

I'll have to admit that I'm addicted to the inflammatory relief I get from niacin. However, it takes a while of not dosing to notice the inflammation creep back in. For those thinking of doing a niacin regimine that inflammatory relief is not immediate. You'll need some opium for that.
