Ten years ago, my knees were so shot I could barely walk 500 metres. A doctor here in Jakarta recommended an operation in which he would install an artificial knee (?), cost around USD5000, and lots of therapy.

A friend suggested Glucosamine Hydrochloride with MSM and Chondroitin. I took 2 X 1500mg per day, and within three months I was rambling all over town, carrying my grandson. I continued taking 1500mg/day for several years, and now only take 1500mg two times per week. I have had no knee problems since, and the (above) concoction is very inexpensive.

I take Glucosamine with MSM and Chondroitin but it doesn’t really do anything. Hydrochloride is a diuretic, isn’t it? What brand do you use?

Maybe you have heard about the results of “placebo knee replacement” surgery? For real!
I mean, they do the whole schtick in an operating suite, put patient to sleep, recovery room, follow-up visits. BUT - they did not do a surgery.
Studies seem to indicate that ACTUAL knee replacement/s are no more helpful than placebo. Unless you are a doctor who has to make a boat payment.
