They told her "You can't play Jazz with a bag pipe."
She replied, "Hold my Scotch."
Absolutely fabulous.
Is she lip sincing with the bag pipes and you are hearing a sax? You decide.
Sweet Georgia Brown
Amazing Grace
Many more ...
Bagpipes are great but singing to them would seem like tap dancing to nails on a chalkboard.

I deployed to Iraq as a civilian 15 years ago. We lost a couple of people to terrorist attacks. Amazing Grace on the bagpipes is still difficult to listen to.
I have no idea how military members do it.
Here’s my favorite music featuring the bagpipes, though not throughout the entire song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQluGs2SFRs
Gunhild Carling is her name,
Playing to the beat is her game.
Gunhild did a fine job making those Bagpipes sound like a Clarinet, one with an extended last note to every phrase.
To be honest, I got more from listening to her playing with the band vs watching her. I found myself wondering if she was a little buzzed from Aquavit, a popular liquor similar to vodka with a dash of carraway.
Excellent song... “It’s a long way to the top. AC/DC
Mine too. Great song.
Bon was the best.
Or a little too much absinthe.
No kidding. That really brightened my day. And her strutting and high stepping could give Cab Calloway a run for his money! Talk about curves—a bag full of bob cats, LOL. Excellent video! Jazz on the bagpipes is awesome. Thank you.
Just Fantastic! Thanks for posting
Outstanding stuff! Thanks for posting!
If you need convincing she’s really playing, watch her play three trumpets at once. She can rock a crummy recorder like we played with in grade school! So yeah, jazz bagpipes, Amazing family!
Her moves were awful, but her playing was actually pretty good!
And yeah, that was the bagpipe. If you think she really wasn’t playing because sometimes the breathing didn’t match remember that the bladder keeps going, even if she’s not blowing air into it for a bit.
Yuck! Clicked out halfway through.
“Hold my scotch...” Except those aren’t Scottish pipes. Look most to be Gaita Transmontana or modified sacpipa (Since she is Swedish) to play two octaves. Only a few other bagpipes can play more than one octave. And looking at the fingering it may have been a keyless oboe with a bag and drone.
Other than thrashing like a street crackhead on K2 I enjoyed it.
