In searching for the original author, the oldest date I could find this published was from 2006. The URL I used is from that site which claims to have gotten it from a Doc Searl but I was unable to trace back who he was as that link is broken.

Built tree houses out of scrap lumber used a rope swing to get in and out.
Camped out under bedspread tents, built campfires and baked potatoes
Walked or rode bikes everywhere.
Much more but some of those warrants are still active.
Standing on dad’s running board for a ride home.
Jumping from the upstairs window or porch with a bedsheet for a parachute.
