I loved this as a child!!!!!!!!
No one under the age of 40 thinks this is funny. No attention span for it.
Saw this at the drive in with the family. Scratchy metal speaker hanging in the window & all.
Love this movie. I remember seeing for the first time at the local movie theatre in the summer of 1970. It was part of their summer movie program for kids.
Those were good times. Our parents would purchase a summer pass for their kids and drop us off at the movie theatre with a dollar in our pockets and we’d spend all day watching 2nd run movies and cartoons. Popcorn cost 10 cents, and soda, candy and ice cream cost only a quarter. Great days.
EXCELLENT..! Made back when movies were (sometimes) still good.. Most all nowadays are nothing but rot....
I remember watching this at a Saturday mateena.
Amazed me at the airplane stunts.
It’s a World World World World Mad.
It has a cameo by Jerry Lewis as well as very brief cameos by the three stooges.
My favorite vignette.......Sid Ceasar in the hardware store.
I remember the stars,
Spencer Tracy, Buddy Hackett, Milton Berle, Ethel Merman, Don Knots, the Three Stooges, Jimmy Durante, Terry Thoma,Johnathan Winters, Dick Shawn,Jim Backus, Buster Keaton Joe E. Brown and a few I can’t remember their names but it do their faces.
Hands down, one of the best movies ever.......EVER.
Sylvester cracks me up.
Mama, it's all right. Everything's gonna be all right, Mama. Your baby's coming to get ya.
It is a classic. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Saw it live GOAT Cast in the comedy field.
A fun movie
The first theatrical release was a much longer version of the film. I wonder if that long version is available anywhere.
I saw it in 1963. I’ll be happy to see it again - fun wacky humor that’s much better than watching an old man act out his hate for the people and a bunch of very confused delusional individuals dictate our use of English grammar.
Such a great movie. I drive by the spot where Jimmy Durante launched off California Highway 74 above Palm Desert a few times a year. I believe the gas station Jonathan Winters destroyed was off CA 74 as well.
My favorite comedy. Have seen it perhaps a dozen times. I yhink all that is left of the Big W is one burned stump.
Saw this come on TCM last year and couldn’t watch it. Made me miss my parents too much. This cast represented the greatest generation; our parents and grandparents who are now all gone - and when the country and culture seemed innocent and pure. I’ll have to buck up, be less morose, and watch it for the first time...and not through the eyes of a 6 year old. Never thought I’d miss the 60’s!
