It's my understanding that sex and drug abuse are the best ways to get Hep C. I worked for years in a big city ER and just after I left a nurse I worked with contracted HIV *and* Hep C from a needle stick during a code. Needle sticks are quite common in ERs,ORs and ICUs. In fact they can happen anywhere in a hospital.
