from what I read above, she wasn’t thinking nor caring for her 2 boys, unborn child nor herself as she tried to flee from police questioning her AND she basically encouraged her shooting by saying what are you gonna do shoot me as she tried to drive away.
I do question the police officer pulling a gun if she didn’t seem to be a real threat before hand.
Seems she had some thing to hide.
“Get out of the f---ing car,” the second officer says.
"No," Young is heard saying, followed by, "You gonna shoot me?"
"Government is beating into submission, imprisoning, and killing...The authority of man-made law is entirely due to weapons of the constables who enforce obedience to its provisions." -Ludwig von Mises
That’s twice. A policeman tells you to get out of the car, points a gun at you when you don’t obey and you try to run him down. The policeman is supposed gto get out of your way??
That is not the way it works nor should it me. Save your pity for people who don’t flaunt the law.
If she was willing to drive at a policeman she needed to be stopped. It was her choice to die.
Once you CHOOSE to resist arrest everything that follows is on you. You’ll find sympathy between shit and syphilis in the dictionary.
Famous last words.
IMO he was directly infront of the car and she knocked him off his feet. The narrator makes the point that both his feet were lifted off the ground.
I see the usual prog freepers here excusing the thief that tried to run over a cop because they thought their black privilege would give them a free pass. All the funny named perp had to do was put the car in park and get out as lawfully ordered. Good shoot and ANY asshole who tries that crap deserves the same.
It doesn’t matter. Was the second cop supposed to stand aside as she ran down the other cop?
Adherence to the law is not voluntary in a civil society. If every scofflaw thinks they can just threaten the police or ignore them your property wouldn't survive the week, nor would your life, much less your liberty.
Don't make excuses for barbarians coming to barbaric ends.
It sure was. And she committed it.
The video explains that one of the most dangerous things a cop does is confront someone in a car. Their hands are notin plain sight and there are so many places a gun can be out of sight.
“Mom and baby girl - dead
Over “ shoplifting”?”
nope. dead over the mom making stupid choices in general. I’m sure it wasn’t her first time.
She wasn’t just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
She created the reason police were called !
she was rude and not cooperative with police and she caused the escalation of things, even putting the car in gear and moving it.
basically its because they fell entitled to everything and anything...always have, this is not new....
laws don't apply to them....at least that is what they are being told constantly.
Please take a look at my post #39. It all depends on where that one cop was standing when the bullet was fired. Either he was in danger, or he was not.
I will accept that milliseconds matter. The cop is in danger. Then an instant later he is not. Somewhere in that brief timeline a shot is fired. It will take a jury to sort that out.
I watched the video in high resolution, slow motion and enlarged. It appeared the officer was NOT in front of the car when he fired.
One other thing. The officer standing in front of a running vehicle occupied by a suspect, is really a STUPID thing to do!
she thought she was entitled to do as she pleased.
she was wrong thinking and acting.
It was her own doing that started the whole situation of the store calling police.
She could have done the right thing and talked with police instead of saying things to escalate the situation.
IMO she was trying to hide something and it cost her big.
This scenario has played out hundreds of times over the years. Bleeding hearts argue that cops are in no real danger. Especially true in this case as she slowly drove away. He could have slowly moved out of the way.
Thing is... courts have routinely given cops a free pass to shoot to kill anytime and every time perps try to flee. And isn't it funny - somehow the cops have minor contact with the fleeing vehicle which gives him license to kill.
I don't think she was frightened. I think she knew she was part of a protected class. She just didn't know (age 21) that didn't matter. You will get shot if you flee.
Thus it has always been. Thus it will be.
In addition, cops should know, standing in from of a running vehicle with a suspect at the wheel can be quick way to the morgue. A real stupid move.
The theft at retail stores is shocking
7-8 years ago I saw a Latino girl stealing at a WalMart.
I didn’t realize what she was doing but they were watching her on the cameras.
Two cops standing there with their backs to her. Maybe 2-3 feet away.
She didn’t get 5-6 feet before they handcuffed her.
We’ll probably never see the evidence against her now

would still love a good riot
But you’re possibly correct
