The audio was recorded by Diana in the 1990s for her biographer Andrew Morton, who went on to publish the bestselling book Diana: Her True Story. Snippets of the clips, which are set to air in an upcoming documentary and have been released just a day after the 26th anniversary of Diana's death in a car crash, have been released in the US. Diana claims in the recording that Charles told her stepmother Raine Spencer at Prince Harry's christening in 1984: 'We're so disappointed, we wanted a girl'. Countess Spencer then 'snapped his head off' and told him he should 'realise you are lucky to have a child', Diana added.

No mom whould hurt the child (forget it’s Harry) telling how his father was disappointed that he was not this or that, or maybe born at all. Diana was in such a painful place and near frantic situation, she slipped up.

I have four kids. Found out kid #1 was a girl. “YAY!!!!!!” Found out kid #2 was going to be a girl. “YAY”. Kid #3 is a girl “Yay”. Kid #4 - girl “yay”.
Yay every time! Little did they know I was prepared to run out and do cartwheels in the parking lot had they even once said “boy”.
I do love ‘em all. And one of them gave me a grandson so YAY!!!!

I believe there is also a timing issue. I’ve been told that a male sperm is faster but dies sooner than a female sperm. If the egg is waiting around for a sperm to arrive, there is a higher chance it will be a boy. If the sperm is waiting on the egg to drop, it will probably be a girl. This was told to my wife by her OB. Following that advice we are 2 for 2.
