Absolutely.
I was mostly left out of stuff in school. You all know there is at least one kid in the class who gets left out, and is the brunt of all jokes, the one picked last in kickball. I was that person.
When I told my Dad that I wasn’t going to appear at various class reunions, that I wasn’t going to even respond to the invitations, he was genuinely confused.
But, why in heaven’s name, would I go back to a group who obviously wanted nothing to do with me? It’s not a grudge. It’s just moving out and moving on.
There’s an analogy in there somewhere.

My 50th clas reunion is this Saturday-
and I couldn’t care less!
I’m willing to bet that most of the people who go back to attend these reunions are either the most popular people, or the ones who became wildly successful, because the show will be about them.
