How does Excalibur do on moving targets?

Indeed, not well. But then again, the high-value targets one might shoot at with a $70,000 round are typically not moving - command posts, ammo dumps, etc. The GPS-guided Excalibur only needs accurate grid coords, not some shlub with a laser designator with direct observation to paint the target and thereby paint himself as a target. But sure, spend 7 million rubles to hit one moving vehicle….

Apparently Raytheon is adding laser back onto the Excalibur.

I’d say an incremental cost increase of $70,000 for the Excalibur S over the current $168,000 is very optimistic given the escalating cost of US weapons.
