Apparently Raytheon is adding laser back onto the Excalibur.

I’d say an incremental cost increase of $70,000 for the Excalibur S over the current $168,000 is very optimistic given the escalating cost of US weapons.

At some point, you have to consider the value for money o to gain accuracy vs extending the range. Making the round both GPS guided and laser guided might be putting a hat on a hat.
