Russia is losing those bodies at a much faster clip. And it's a lot harder to motivate a population to invade someone else's country than it is to get them to defend their own.

Russia is also deploying many of its military assets to other borders and at distant locations, while Ukraine is focused solely on defending itself.

Zelensky is interested in proliferating the war to maintain his dictatorial hold on power (he’s not holding elections, remember, Sandy ?). The Ukrainians are just reduced to cannon fodder for the regime. 78% of those polled there know who’s responsible, and it’s in Kiev.
