I remember someone who worked on the Hill for Repubs writing that when new members get there, all of the Dems and half of the Repubs were just in it for themselves.
And very quickly, 50 percent of the worthy Repubs became seriously compromised.
So you have a Congress that is at least 75 percent Swamp.
So no wonder that “the Wall is too expensive”, but hundreds of billions to Ukraine is an “excellent investment”.

Well, as I said a long time ago, almost everybody in DC is blackmailing everybody else. That’s why BOTH parties lost their minds when Trump won. He couldn’t be blackmailed to support the bipartisan Derp State criminal enterprise, and so he must be destroyed.
That has to be true.
They started spying on him in 2015, but the nature of the electronic surveillance is that it is all captured so they could go back before that to the start of the “Patriot” Act.
Everything they claimed as dirt turned out to be fake, which means he is about the cleanest guy ever.
What is sad is there are way too many gullible “conservatives” who are fooled by a Sunday school holy man act, which in many cases is a whitewashed wall concealing a lot of really disgusting stuff. (eg Hastert)
Add to that, the longer you stay in DC, the likely more corrupted you get. No way the Demonrats (or GOP Establishment) didn’t know about Hastert’s stuff or even Mitch McConnell’s escapades back during his unusually short stint in the military. To wit, I think there’s a huge amount of homosexuals and child rapists serving in office, all protecting (and blackmailing) each other. Look how quickly they shut down that PizzaGate scandal.
I think if most people knew what was really going on in DC, they’d burn the city to the ground.
