Amazing, their scouts are something. Every year they lose 1/2 dozen players to free agency but still have Championship teams every year.
You said it is destroying football. How is allowing players the freedom to play where they want destroying the game? I’ll apologize for saying you don’t think they should have the right to transfer, because you didn’t explicitly say that. But why are player transfers bad, but coach transfers OK? Why can coaches bring in new coordinators who cut players and scholarships simply because they “don’t fit in my system” not for cause, then have the audacity to hand them a list of schools they’re not allowed to attend. Why does anyone give a crap if someone wants to give Johnny Manziel money for autographs or Ohio State football players tattoos for useless bowl game swag bag merchandise? Free-market capitalism for everyone but college football players.
Don’t tell me about the education. Throw together useless classes that don’t help academic progress, but fit nicely around practice schedules. Read the story of Robert Smith who had the audacity to take real classes at Ohio State, but was chastised for it by the coaching staff.
Now it’s just cheering for the laundry.

Why is unfettered transfers killing CFB? Simple- because many of the top players are moving from team to team each year- there’s no continuity and schools can be put in a major hole each year. That doesn’t even happen in pro sports where contracts are signed and players are bound to the team they sign with.

I fact if you look at post #55 you’ll see i wrote, “It is, but the NCAA screwed the athletes for so long its about time they get their butts kicked. The pendulum has swung way to far to the other side and its going to keep getting worse.”
Sorry, I felt like ranting, not meant at you. I had to reply to someone, should of just defaulted to poster #1. But honestly, I couldn’t care less about the team’s continuity, as dfwgator said, it’s just laundry. Anti-American, ultra woke laundry in my opinion.
I competed in IA track and field and saw the abuses that went on in that sport; we’d stay in fleebag hotels while NCAA execs stayed in 5 star palaces. We were rationed $21 a day meal money while NCAA execs ate in 5 star restaurants. Granted, we were not a revenue producing sport- but the NCAA execs did nothing but take.
The NCAA will be a thing of the past soon. The next realignment will destroy the NCAA. I for one, could not be happier.
College sports are rife with corruption. I almost wonder if we’d be better off with following the model of Europe and create athletic clubs for talented players who aren’t interested in school and just want to compete. I remember asking a British guy if they had college soccer in England, he said they did, but it’s played at such a low level that only friends and family care. The good young players go into the minor leagues around age 16. Same with hockey in Canada.

The NCAA is already a thing of the past. The current NCAA employees are just keeping the charade up as long as possible to keep the gravy coming on in.
No discipline. They are not going any where.
This was a 1-10 team last year.
Yeah, I know. And a real mess. I’m not high on TCU, so it’s a win to me, but not impressive. I’m big on defense. My concern of the day is who has the better defense; Michigan or Penn State. The one that has the better defense will go to the playoffs.
For the record, Michigan has the better defense thus far this season. Penn State’s DT’s are undersized and weak.
