Sea salt, it has more than sodium in it.

We should get about 1,500 milligrams of it every day.How many milligrams were the salt pills the medics passed out every morning before jungle patrols in the 60's? May explain my salt cravings 50+ years later.

My cardiologist told me to keep it under 3,000 per day…

Here is a question that I can find no answer for: If high levels of salt are bad for you, then why are people that live by the beach or commercial fishermen not dying left and right?

Most people cook their veggies too long, and subsequently lose a lot of vitamins and minerals.
Fresh or frozen veggies should still have that fresh , shiny look when ‘done’.............

My own bloodwork results show low sodium. I think I just pass salt as fast as I consume it, verified by my muscles tending to cramp.
To: fini
Your body excretes excess salt when exercising or doing strenuous activity. Sweat a lot and you lose a lot of salt directly on your skin. Lose too much and you get muscle cramps especially in the legs. Lose even more and you will get dizzy..................

NOW sells powdered potassium and you can make your dosage whatever you want. As long as you have the sense not to overdo it of course. I put mine in a juice / protein drink I have in the morning. My wife’s doctor told her to up her potassium intake so that’s how I tracked it down, since you have to take handfuls of the pills because they’re so limited in dosage.

I like to pressure cook (steam) my veggies just a tad, so they’re still “squeaky” when you bite into them.
