Taylor Swift writes hit songs. This is where her talent lies.
When it comes to management, she hands over the leads to her mother and her tour manager, Robert Allen. He's been her tour manager for her entire career.
Robert Allen is the younger brother of Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen.
I was wondering what all the fandom is about Taylor Swift, having never knowingly paid attention to her music. So I went and listened to some on YouTube. Not impressed at all.
How can you tell which is which?
Yep, although she kept it relatively well hidden until a few years back.
Richard Pryor will get her!
Late night several weeks ago caught a Shakira concert in Los Angeles - from about 2015 I think
Unbelievable production - I watched about 30-45 minutes of it
(Exorswift: Taylor Swift concert film will open in theaters same day as new “Exorcist” movie)
Double feature? /mostly joking
(And, she’s a raging liberal)
Yes
Saw Shakira in LA in 2018 (Wife wanted to go, me not so much). The woman lip-synced practically all of her show. Fake phony crap not worth 1/10th of the ticket price.
Not until the bed gets off his foot.
Yes computer graphics, lasers
I’m not surprised it would be lip syncing
The video was probably carefully edited
Tried to find a link for that but couldn't. Found one for Shakira - Live In Concert, Los Angeles at Staples, 12 years ago (2010-11). Labeled not official.
It was 110% horrible. Sound was incredibly bad. Her voice sounded like a couple of cats tied up in a burlap sack. Nothing but flailing around on stage. Oh they had lots of lights and big video screens, but it looked like a crazed lunatic was running them.
I figured the sound was bad because it wasn't an "official" video...so...
I checked out another, Shakira - Whenever, Wherever (Live In Concert El Dorado) Mar 28, 2020 Official video.
Equally bad. Just incredibly bad. Gonna take days for my ears to recover. This stuff is nothing but slap dash glitter masquerading as music. IMHO
(2010-11)
Maybe that was the one - maybe they made it into a film later? Dunno
I was looking at credits on the TV but not certain that I caught them correctly
She is hot. But that’s also because she’s evil.
That’s what we thought about Barbie. Wasn’t so.
No biggie. The nowadays "artists" aren't my cup of tea anyway.
I think my sock drawer needs organizing that day.
Same here
I knew none of the songs
But the production of the show kinda blew me away
That's a function of how money you throw at it.
I was in that business back in the day and we had a little saying.
Nothing is impossible, but some things are very, very expensive.
I managed stagehands back in the 1980s
Didn’t make very much money but had a little fun
