Comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan invited overnight music sensation Oliver Anthony to perform at his club, The Comedy Mothership, Tuesday night.

Anthony, the songwriter of "Rich Men North of Richmond" – which has been number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks now – appeared onstage to wild applause.

Comedian and close friend of Rogan, Tom Segura, introduced Anthony to the raucous crowd at the Austin, Texas venue, telling audience goers he had a "special treat" for them.

Oliver Anthony will get more publicity from an appearance with Joe Rogan than any Hollywood publicist could ever provide. I'm glad Anthony is staying away from the music producers that would destroy his brand.

I saw him on Rogan’s podcast (Youtube) this morning and was very impressed by his demeanor and down-to-earth personality. He definitely has his head square on his shoulders. Seems like a very decent and intelligent dude and he hasn’t let his new found fame go to his head.
