I'm immediately suspicious the second I hear a company start using terms like "earth," "ethically sourced," and "fairtrade" because in my experience it's all a bunch of woke BS. I also have never used anything made by this company.
But as a regular viewer of the channel JerryRigEverything I've watched a lot of expensive cell phones being disassembled and, I have to admit, I have never seen a cell phone this user-repairable.

Oh, and not available in the USA.
If it was I might seriously consider it on my next upgrade.

I go a step further and refuse to buy from such companies (as much as I can).
I bought some wax-coated excelsior fire starter. The box says “Eco-Friendly.” Sheesh, a thing used to start fires is “Eco-Frinedly”?

But like all alternative/open source type phones, it's coming, soon, honest, just a few more years and we'll be up to speed.
PRE-ORDER: I've been tracking these alt-phones for years and none have ever made it to full production levels.

I have a flip phone. It'll run some apps, that I've never used. Haven't downloaded anything, not that that will necessarily stop anything from getting on it I don't know about. Can't remember how old it is, but it's pretty old by today's standards. Only used for calls and texting. SMS only, no MMS. My plan is as basic as you can get.
I can take the battery out too.

Somewhat interesting...however, too much focus on social justice and environmental BS. Keep the focus on technology, or I don’t trust it.

Yeah, he could lay off the eco-weenie nonsense, but I'd like a phone like this. I recently ordered a
Framework laptop, as I like the modularity of it. Like this phone, it's entirely user-servicable.

Also, I wasn’t aware that the EU is going to force phone makers to make their batteries user-replacable. I actually like that. Wish we had standard batteries for phones and tablets. Yeah, they’d end up being a bit a bit fatter, but that’s really not my biggest concern. I’d love to be able to have a spare battery.
