Ping
Because our government and miltary let them.
Simple as that.
Do not enter onto a thread on a topic you don't like just to disrupt, rattle cages, poke sticks, insult the regulars, or engage in trolling activities, etc.
PAPER TIGER….
China Joe was paid to let them.
What really matters in the military these days is that trans soldiers can get their operations done in a timely manner anywhere around the globe.
Notice how they define “readiness” these days:

Or can’t stop them.

Defending the country’s border and political system that recognizes natural rights to freedom, faith, expression is not a priority with these communists.
Much lower than real terrors like climate freakout, voterid, chromosomes, and of course -Trump!
The guy who was calibrating the radar to do the testing brought his calibration gear in a briefcase, and it was a small box with various sizes of ball bearing in it used to calibrate the radar response.
But, as I readily admit, I suppose an object carried under a balloon that was non-radar reflecting, that was itself inside some kind of non-radar reflecting material, might escape detection. But that doesn't ring true to me.
I managed to confirm a prominent example of a UAP incident that led NORAD to scramble F-15 fighter aircraft that was not reported to AARO or Congress. This case involved a high-flying fast vehicle that overflew a large area of the Western U.S in 2018. The craft was detected by FAA radars and its location was independently confirmed by commercial airline pilots. F-15s failed to get close to the object which, as far as we know, remains unidentified.Yet, when I contacted AARO, the organization confirmed that this extraordinary case, which only came to light by chance, had not been reported to it by the Air Force. How many more cases like this have not been reported?
In light of that case and the Chinese balloon mishap, and the hundreds of ongoing unexplained UAP reports, I suggest Congress balance its focus on UAP with a hard look at the performance and effectiveness of the air and space surveillance systems that we rely on to protect the nation from surprise attacks like Pearl Harbor or September 11th.
The massive air and space surveillance systems funded by the taxpayer at huge expense include the most powerful radar emitters on the planet. They closely monitor vast regions of air and space 24 hours per day 365 days per year. It is technically inconceivable that these systems do not detect anomalies from time to time. They should certainly be seeing UAP independently of fighter aircraft, yet aside from the Chinese balloon and the 3 other objects shot down in the following days, I don’t know of any reports of that kind going to AARO or Congress.
Makes me grit my teeth.
If the Biden Government didn’t allow spy overflights, how could the Chinese, Russians, etc, verify the accuracy of military secrets the Bidens are selling them?
In China, the government spent $$ hundreds of billions per year on infrastructure, only to have found much of it was sub-standard, due to graft at all levels in the procurement process. The Chinese call it “tofu projects” - looks like cement, but is as fragile as tofu
Perhaps Americans similarly will discover that the $850 billion per year they spend on “defense” is a major source of political and deep-state graft, wasted on useless or substandard systems.
I’m in no position to judge on such highly technical, confidential, insider issues - but who would be? And how would we ever know?
There wasn’t any money left after everyone took their cut.
Why? Because the big guy got his cut.
1. UFOs — they outrun the jet fighters
2. Chinese balloons — the Chinese will not let Biden shoot them down
3. Drones — the Chinese will not let Biden shoot them down
The radar operators were too busy butt humping to notice
This is what a hyper-corrupt third-world military looks like.
