You are right. In desperation people look at Vivek or RFK,Jr. as the bright fireworks burst in the sky but soon they dim to darkness and fall to the ground.
Part of Trump’s early appeal was he was NOT from the old insider DC crowd that looked out for themselves after promises to voters (”On our first day taking control if you vote for us we will dismantle and replace Obamacare.”) Then “compromise of both sides leads to higher tax rates for most people and fewer exemptions as of January 1st.” “Attempt to lower cable TV rates ends ironically with higher costs for most subscribers.”
Frank, yes that’s how the Obamacare thing went, but what you
are not acknowledging is that McConnell and Ryan had no
plan whatsoever to help Trump do anything.
He allowed that to go by the wayside, because he didn’t have
a single choice. They Democrats hated his guts, and those
two may have hated him more.
He can’t just wave his hand and change reality. I just saw
footage of Ryan standing behind Trump when he was sworn in
with a big S eating smile on his face. He knew right then
and there, Trump would never get anything from him.
I’ll have to admit to not liking that guy very much.
They refused to fund the wall for the two years of their
majority.
