There are new details in the wake of the recent passing of legendary television host Bob Barker.
Not long after confirming the Price Is Right icon had died at the age of 99 on Saturday, his longtime publicist Roger Neal announced that there will not be a funeral or a memorial service, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The decision was made not to have any public services at the request of Barker himself.
Neal went on to reveal that the game show host will be laid to rest next to his wife, Dorothy Jo Gideon, at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills.
He passed from natural causes in his longtime Hollywood Hills home earlier in the day.
It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World's Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker, has left us,' Neal said in a statement, obtained by NBC News.
Neal served as Barker's publicist from 1987 to 1994, and then again in 2020.
Following the confirmation of his death, flowers were placed on his star along the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
Barker's girlfriend Nancy Burnet, went public to say how she was 'so proud of the trailblazing work' they 'did together to expose the cruelty to animals in the entertainment industry and including working to improve the plight of abused and exploited animals in the United States and internationally.'
'We were great friends over these 40 yrs. He will be missed,' his partner, 79, said in her own statement, obtained by People.
The Darrington, Washington native was the longtime host of the game show The Price Is Right, beginning in 1972.
The show, which had been on air since the 1950s and was in decline, was revitalized by Barker, who was the face of the program until 2007.

All guests will have to ‘C’mon down!’ Embarrassing.
Pet testicle cemetary?
I took a sick day so I could stay home and watch Bob Barkers final TPIR appearance.
Died at 99, as close to a dollar as you can get with out going over.
My grandma died at the same age. It’s very bizarre, there’s a lot of people who when they hit 100 or close just kick off. It’s like they are holding on until they hit that mark. Bob Hope, George Burns, Irving Berlin, Al Hirschfeld, Hal Roach. I wonder if Satan will call Pelosi and Hillary home to hell when they hit 100.
Barkers Beauties?
Do we have to put up with those fools Pelosi and Hillary for another 20 to 25 years?
I will not miss the vegan PETA nutcutter.
As mentioned in an earlier thread, when thinking about the great game show hosts many of us here grew up with, Monty Hall (Let’s Make A Deal) would have turned 102 this past week, Bert Convy (Tattletales and Super Password) and Alex Trebek (Jeopardy and Pitfall) 90 and 83 respectively last month, Richard Dawson (Family Feud) 91 in November, Gene Rayburn (Match Game) and Allen Ludden (Password) both now would be 105 turning 106 later this year, Garry Moore (To Tell the Truth) 108, Dick Clark (25000 Pyramid) and Art James (Super Pay Cards) both 94 later this year, and Johnny Olson the great announcer for many of the shows we grew up with would have been 113 this past May.
My mother died 3 weeks after her hundredth birthday.
LOL...Now, that was funny without breaching good taste!
My mom made it to 101 and a half, and is now home with me on hospice. I won’t have her much longer.
My tributes should also include Bill Cullen who would be 103 (the original 1956 to 1965 Price is Right & The Joker’s Wild), Tom Kennedy (Password Plus, Body Language, and the night version of The Price is Right) 96, and another announcer Jack Clark who would be 98 this November.
Internet post of the day.
Wonder how the South Park crew will treat this...?
Barker lasted so long because he was colorless and not so interesting. That makes for longevity, and maybe makes a good MC, for all I know.
Good One Morgana!
I bet Bob would laugh
