FIFA has provisionally suspended Luis Rubiales, the president of the Spanish football federation (RFEF), from all football-related activities for 90 days following his unsolicited kiss of Jenni Hermoso after the Women's World Cup final.
Despite growing pressure throughout the week, including FIFA opening disciplinary proceedings Thursday, Rubiales refused to resign Friday, saying the kiss was "mutual and with consent."
Pachuca forward Hermoso replied in a statement later in the day, disputing Rubiales' version of events and saying she "felt vulnerable and the victim of aggression, an impulsive, sexist act which was out of place and with no consent on my behalf."

I could understand a reprimand but the response has been way out of proportion of the act.
They would have crucified Richard Dawson, if he was still on Family Feud.
The punishment is WAY out of proportion to the imaginary “offense.”
We live in a gynocyntric world. If a woman kisses a man in the same manner...nothing happens.
Not even sure if it's an "offense", if it was a common way to celebrate. It's like hugging someone.
But we grew up in an Anglo-Saxon culture (before it became woke). We were always reserved compared to folks living in a Mediterranean culture.
Did you actually watch it? The guy grabbed her by the head with both hands and gave her a full on kiss on the lips. They don’t know each other. He is practically her “boss” when you think about it. Guys have been ruined and displaced for far less. I can’t believe he is refusing to resign or even apologize. He is saying it’s mutual is ridiculous. I think he needs to resign or be fired.

Not sure if you are joking or not. There are other responses along the same line though. I am surprised as this is pretty clear cut. This is not a case of believe all women and about something that may or may not have happened. It absolutely happened and on arguably one of the biggest stages in the world. The guy is an idiot and deserves to lose his position. That he is digging in and going to force them to remove him is even worse.
