It’s just ok. Nothing more. Why is it so groundbreaking?
Not so much groundbreaking as a serious bunch of simple statements about things we all should be mad at; constructs the dumb ass tyrants of the left have put in place of the great constructs that made America a stellar nation once. Self-evident, yet profoundly important to repeat.
Agreed. Maybe it was because people were talking so glowingly about it, but I was underwhelmed when I listened to it. I certainly agree with much of the sentiment, but I wasn’t impressed with the lyrical quality.
“It’s just ok. Nothing more. Why is it so groundbreaking?”
The song comes from an individual who, despite not completing high school, works tirelessly six days a week in a factory for $14.50 an hour. Its resonance is most deeply felt among those who have family or friends in similar professions. Perhaps those in higher-paying positions north of Richmond find it challenging to relate. The artist calls a camper with a tarp-covered roof his home. I’m familiar with many, including relatives, who live in such conditions. Notably, they aren’t seeking handouts and tend to vote Republican, which might be different from some perspectives north of Richmond.

Simple answer is, it pushes the right buttons at the right time. Add another song from the early 1980s and you have a tandem that pushes the right buttons at the right time.
A Countryboy Can Survive - Hank Williams Jr

In my opinion, these two songs should be played back to back.
How many songs, other than this one, have you heard that actually mention Epstein island?
Because it's giving voice to those who aren't yet woke to how the system operates. Or as Trump said in his inaugeral speech:
"For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land."
It's reaching an audience that Trump hasn't reached yet.
