And instead of turning down the heat, they're clamping down a lid.
In the history books, great social revolutions are often distilled into digestible reasons for their emergence. Rising unemployment, widespread illness, cultural upheaval, and rapid technological change have all been diagnosed as the proximate causes for various sudden shifts in society. If you look past those antiseptic historical autopsies, though, and concentrate on the feelings and passions of the people who experienced the revolutions firsthand, you will find another symptom present in every single movement for great change: popular rejection of ruling class lies.
People despise lies, especially lies that have had the effect of making them feel foolish. People despise lies so much that they will go out of their way to pretend obvious lies are somehow still based in truth. It is much more comfortable to believe that governing institutions continue to make "honest" mistakes than to accept that those institutions abandoned honesty a long time ago. It is easier to spin one lie away with yet another soothing lie than to accept the darker, harder, bitter truth. However, officially sanctioned lies tend to coagulate in the body politic much like spike proteins clotting in the blood until, eventually, the whole system just bursts.
When that happens, people become rightly mad. They are mad not only because they finally recognize that their government has been engaged in massive deceptions, but also because they are ashamed for having defended obvious lies as truths for far too long. Rage is the inevitable result — a rejection of the people and institutions responsible for such degrading self-delusions. And when rage arrives, a peculiar thing tends to happen: fewer and fewer ruling-class heirs remain to defend the status quo. History records successful revolutions when the previous system's liars rebrand themselves...

Unfortunately, we only have a bunch of soft, fat, soy-fed, Adderall-addled, media-whipped, single-Mom-raised males as potential warriors.
We are in trouble, bigly.
Jesse Kelly’s line has long been “This is how you get Franco”.
I’m getting closer and closer to welcoming it.
Started 90 years ago with the Traitor fdr, and since then it has spread by stealth. Well now, it is coming to a head. It is high noon.
Wow, takes me back. Thanks.
Rich Men North of Richmond.

The rights that come from GOD, not from Government. The Biblical Foundation that the left has tried to rat away at for 90 years.

I’d prefer Pinochet, myself. That man had a sense of style.

He knew what to do.

Don’t blame yourself. Chinese hackers often put typos in my posts, too. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. 🙂
> Liberals are not evil, but they are weak in the face of leftists <
Agreed. And that’s a very important distinction. Too many conservatives lump liberals and leftists together. But they are not the same. Classical liberals (like Jimmy Carter) are naive, and often wrong. But their intentions are good.
On the other hand, today’s leftists do not have good intentions. They want a Stalinist society. And they are quite willing to suppress freedoms and use violence to get it.
The GOP needs to figure out a way to separate the liberals from the leftists. So far they’ve been spectacularly bad in this regard.
Separating liberals from Leftists isn’t possible. It’s foolish to try.

The Communist swine is a great touch.
But since the non-demonkkrap states have money, no way the demonkkraps will go for the divorce as there will be no alimony.
It’s infuriating to think that one demonic man sitting in England, living in filth, abandoning his family could cause so much damage the World simply by his Pen. But he a lot of help.

Believe it or not, in my neck of the woods Trump had some success with that in 2016 (but not in 2020).
Trump’s selling point in 2016 was his promise to bring industry back to America.
I live in a rust-belt state. And that promise really resonated with the old-time liberal Democrats here. Heck, I even recall listening to a local talk show. A Democrat mayor called in. He identified himself, and his town. And he said he was voting for Trump. Imagine that!
So what happened in 2020? The factories never reappeared. That wasn’t Trump’s fault. But he got the blame. Plus the D’s went all-out with the lies and the cheating.
I was trying to find the right word. RAGE. Yep, that’s it. Perfectly describes me reading the news every morning.
It’s August and the cities aren’t burning
There is no better example of “Rich Men North of Richmond” than the recent sell off of the border wall components. The #1 battle cry at Trump rallies was “build the wall”, which probably elected Donald Trump. So what does Biden do, he tears down the wall and sells it. You rise up, you will be locked up and if that doesn’t work, Joe has another plan, “You need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons”
He should have been immediately impeached for this threatening statement, he wasn’t.
The only people I see who are outraged are old. Old people don’t do revolutions.
