More and more places are now off limits to Teslas in China, not just places but roads...
Join me for the China Show, a weekly dive into what's happening in China:
TSLA puts?
Xi wants the Space X reusable rocket/landing tech and are extorting it from Musk in this fashion?
Elon hasn’t paid 10% to the Crook?
My guess is that any given reason is an excuse, and that this was forseeable at the outset of Tesla’s involvement with China.
The real reason (my guess) is that enough Tesla technology has been stolen to transfer to Chinese national champion EV makers like NIO and BYD, so who needs Tesla?
I watch this guys’ videos all the time.
This is EXACTLY WHY China is banning Telsa they have stolen all of the information needed to do it on their own, AND they don’t want the competition!! NEXT Elon won’t be able to get the materials needed to make his vehicles!! Elon should listen to the SNAKE SONG!!!
That's a damn' good guess on your part. It makes so much sense. China wants the IP.
I have long advocated for financially balanced trade between nations.
Why is Musk building them in China , why is any Western country building things in China ?
China is un-investible.
The last 30 years of “foreign investment” was merely to get cash, technology and training.
Xi is the new Emperor who is again closing off China.
Actually I did exactly that a couple of weeks ago to protect some gains. It’s worked out pretty good so far.
TSLA is down about 20% since then.
Well, why are they being banned? And no, I’m not interested in watching a video.
Balanced trade? I suggest cutting off trade from into China.
Ya mean “Da Big Guy”????
“...why is any Western country building things in China ?”
The main attraction to manufacturing products in China is the availability of low cost labor. In fact, according to statistics, manufacturing in China can help reduce costs by 30% to 80%, depending on labor intensity of production.
In addition to its low labor costs, China has become known as “the world’s factory” because of its lack of regulatory compliance, low taxes and duties, and competitive currency practices.
China makes up 28.7% of the total global output for manufacturing. This accounted for nearly $4 trillion of the country’s overall economic output as early as 2019. Although the United States used to be the world’s top manufacturing hub, it has been over 10 years since China started claimed the top position. China has a comfortable 10 percent lead on the United States.
And it’s a lot more than just Tesla. China, including Hong Kong, still dominates the sourcing landscape, supplying 40.7 percent of U.S. imports last year.
And China starting last year became the largest battery manufacturing country in the world providing 77% of the world’s batteries. Autos included in that. And I’ll give you a source on that as that is hard even for me to believe and I read it.

Distrust of Tesla grows in China as state bans EVs from government areas, report says (May 24, 2021)
Tesla has some control in China because many of the vehicles built at the Shanghai Giga plant are sold outside China. If China kills Tesla, China kills the Giga plant.
From Bing ChatGPT (Searching for: tesla sales in china by year):
According to my sources, Tesla’s sales in China have been growing rapidly in recent years. In 2020, Tesla’s sales in China more than doubled, reaching $6.66 billion, which accounted for about a fifth of the company’s total sales1. In 2021, Tesla achieved a new record of sales in China, with almost half of its record year of production and deliveries coming from Gigafactory Shanghai2.The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) released its numbers early on Tuesday and showed that Tesla sold 70,847 China-made vehicles in December – a new record2. These new 70,847 units add up to now a total of 473,078 vehicles coming from China or sold in China for Tesla in 20212. That’s roughly half of the 936,000 electric vehicles delivered by Tesla last year2. About 160,000 of those 473,000 vehicles were exported to markets outside of China2.
In November 2022, Tesla’s wholesale shipments exceeded 655,000 (up 63% year-over-year), including over 255,000 during the past three months3. If Tesla is able to maintain the rate of 100,000 units per month, the Giga Shanghai annual production rate would amount to 1.2 million units3.
That’s the crook.
Because their spying capabilities.
They can record sights and sounds.
They aren’t banned but excluded from sensitive areas.
The video is about that and the point that if Chicoms are protecting themselves against it, then the Chicoms are doing it here.
“why is any Western country building things in China ?”
I was just talking to the founder of company who tried like hell to get his new product made here. He found the USA didn’t have the manufacturing experience or expertise he needs, so he went to China.
