The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
Easy peasy from The Arkansas Gazette
Now there is an obtuse clue if I’ve ever seen one.....
Good job. I’d say you won the clue of the week award. And the guy or gal who can figure it out gets 10 bonus points towards induction to the Today’s Cryptogram Hall of Fame
Thanks for posting Today’s Cryptogram each day. I start my day off with it each morning.
As far as today’s clue, the author is the Savior of the Series.

Thanks for posting these!
You got some ‘splaining to do!
I did this one in my head, so there. The letter pattern of the name of the person was a quick giveaway. (Hint: well known TV star of the 1960’s)
Now I want a box of chocolates. That was one of my favorite scenes.
I can’t believe it, I actually recognized the name within about 10 seconds, before even starting, just staring at the double letter pattern. I’m so pleased with myself!
True dat. Made it work too.
Back to the 30s in B movie noir and even at least one The Three Stooges shorts.
Ricky, I want to be in the show!
