Jacksonville, Fl β Jacksonville has another new millionaire. One ticket matched all six numbers in last nightβs Mega Millions drawing.
The $36 million ticket was sold at the Publix on Roosevelt Blvd. in Ortega.
We reported last week that the Publix in Neptune Beach sold the winning ticket in the record-setting jackpot of $1.6 billion.

PING!
Still not me
Ticket sold at ANOTHER Publix!
Unbelievable! SMH
Roosevelt Blvd. in Ortega...........
Not my old neighborhood...................π
PING!

Wasn’t me.
Essentially the corner of Roosevelt and Fairfax.
*Maybe* it’s some struggling USN enlisted. One can hope. (you’d know who it is if tomorrow he’s married to a stripper and owns a brand new Mustang GT)
Just north of the US 17/ FL 15 bridge, by the marinas.
Not the worst part of JAX by any means.
DUUUUVAL!
Two lottery hits, tickets purchased at 2 different Publix grocery stores IN ONE WEEK not just in the same state but also the same county.......what are the odds? SMH
Not me out here in Mandarin
“youβd know who it is if tomorrow heβs married to a stripper and owns a brand new Mustang GT”
Lol!
I worked on NAS Jax as a civilian for 30 years, I saw that a time or two and it WASN’T a lottey winner. π
Who did they vote for?
Will somebody get their 10%?.....................
It hit the MEGA $4 winner last night.
I wish it was you.
One of my sisters lives about six miles from Neptune Beach. Wonder if she won the billion? She’d never tell me if she did, though.
Yep....that’s about my speed as well π
Well thank you my friend. π
Don’t feel bad, whoever won that 1.55 billion is still laying low.....and I don’t blame ‘em. π
I don’t think my sister even plays the lottery anyway. I buy a ticket when the jackpot gets over a few hundred million, just for the entertainment of imagining what we’d do if we won, but so far $4 is the big winner for me. I guess I could buy a gallon of gas and drive around aimlessly.
“I buy a ticket when the jackpot gets over a few hundred million”
I’ve never understood the frenzy when the pots get really big.......wouldn’t even just one million be enough for most people?.....I know it would be plenty for me.
1.5 billion (approximately 750 million after taxes on a lump payout) would overwhelm just about anyone I would imagine.
If I ever hit a substantial lottery pot my initial reaction would undoubtedly be to throw up.
Barring duplicate winning tickets, the only time the odds get neutral or favorable is when the jackpot gets big enough (odds are different for each game). Besides, I like to have some sort of cutoff so I don’t want to play every drawing.
BTW, that $750 mil was before taxes. After fed tax, the lump sum would only be a lousy $400-odd million, hardly worth messing with.
I wouldn’t mind even a paltry million or so, true, but I don’t expect anything at all. Just the amusement of imagining, as I said.
