Well, he’s right. What happens when one side starts disengaging from the country, because those in power and those who support those in power, starts to impose rule upon the one side, is that the one side wants to go their own own. Succession becomes an inevitability of that.
He’s not wrong when you see the deal Hunter Biden was going to walk away with and you see New York literally charging Trump with felonies that they literally charged Hillary Clinton with a year earlier and she got a slap on the wrist and 8000 fine. I don’t know if the base of the party can be kept at bay much more.
I think you are going to see candidates in GOP primaries next year be asked point blank will you go after democrats and if they say no they probably won’t make it out of the primary.
Gingrich absolutely nails it in a short, right-to-the summary of the situation. He rightfully predicts a generation or more of distrust at a minimum, and possibly much worse.

I hate to say it but I think he was too optimistic. The country is dividing like a human being strapped to a table and slashed open by a serial killer, the Dem Party.

Newt is right about the bitterness. I’ll go further and say that if the Democrats succeed in what they are attempting to do, I think it will generate assassinations of Democrat politicians. The political atmosphere of the country is by far the worst of my entire life. I hope people manage to keep their homicidal urges under control.
imo Speaker Gingrich speaks truth, however he errs when inferring that there will be a truthful narrative within the next 500-1000 years.

Gingrich is correct but if Trump is reelected with a full majority in Congress, as the victim he can initiate the necessary reforms and make them stick.
His words remind me of what people in the South whose families went through the Civil War would say. They distrusted the government but were particularly distrusting and bitter towards Yankees.
