*All pandemics originate in China.

Bravo.

Even the attempts at renaming old diseases didn’t work because origins were later found.

I was a child when I got the “Asian Flu” in 1957. It killed a lot of people but I made it past, even though I had rheumatic fever in 1954.

History Channel:
According to a new article published in the January 2014 issue of the journal War in History, historian Mark Humphries of Canada’s Memorial University of Newfoundland points to newly unearthed records to make the case that the lethal influenza pandemic first appeared in China in 1917 and then exploded across the globe ....

Bubonic Plague:
This modern pandemic had its origins in southwestern China. The disease had been endemic in Yunnan province since at least the late eighteenth century. The earliest recorded epidemic of plague in the province began around 1792.
From JSTOR article.

The plague transferred from Central Asia east and west along the Silk Road, by Mongol armies and traders making use of the opportunities of free passage within the Mongol Empire offered by the Pax Mongolica.

Yep.

Someone asked me why that was the case.

Three reasons.

In China people live with their food animals in the house. This allows viruses to pass back and forth until they become lethal.

In China they have a lack of fuel so they cook their food lightly or not at all. This allows bacteria and parasites to survive.

In China they do not use soap to clean the body and hands. They use creams and lotions. You skin is nice and soft and still covered in bacteria.

Two other reasons is that they eat everything rather then restricting themselves to mammals and certain birds like most of the rest of the world. Reptiles and bugs have a lot of pathogens that mammals have little to no defense against. Lastly a lack of charity. Taking care of the poor is a cultural norm everywhere but the far east. There it is believed that the poor are "paying" for past bad deeds. If you help then you are possibly interfering with their payment plan. That will mean they will just have to pay more, apparently celestial interest rates are killer, and then you will have to pay for that bad deed in your next life.
