she can rebuild when many others can’t
Why can many others not rebuild? I would think only someone without a basic homeowners insurance policy on their home would be unable to rebuild. Don’t get me wrong I am very sorry for their loss just not clear on why they can’t.
Thanks.
I don't thnk what Stevie Nicks said was so bad. People are so sensitive these days.
Yes. But I think it was theirs before we got a hold of it, if history serves me right......
Explains the Union Jack on the State Flag.
stupid coke-head woman
She’s an whackadoodle.
I will give credit to Stevie for being a good sport:
“You know, they already did an episode kind of about me a long time ago, and I got kidnapped by the Afghanistan people and they sent the army in to get me. Yes, I was a little goat in a cape. But who cares? It was hysterical.”
Why doesn’t she just stay with Mick Fleetwood, since he has a house on Maui.
Poor baby. Vacation ruined. How about people who lost everything, including family members?
“Nicks’ bandmate Mick Fleetwood, who owns a home and a restaurant on Maui, is chartering planes to bring emergency supplies”
Yeah, the restaurant burned down. I saw the Dinners, Drive-in and Dives, Guy Fieri episode from his place on Maui a few times.
Yep. I worked with an Hawaiian Army Captain in Iraq. She often openly made disparaging comments about “white people.” Once, after making such a comment, she asked me, “Did you hear that?”
I didn’t even look up from my work as I replied “Hear what? I didn’t hear anything; I have my ignorance filter on.”
A couple of my colleagues laughed, one high-fived me and she never pulled crap like that around me again.
I’m a long-time fan of a Stevie Nicks, and there wasn't a single thing wrong with her statement.
The Hawaiians always greet the houlie visitors typical friendly fashion - hands extended palms up.
A house 2 blocks from me burned to the ground 3 years ago. It is still a burned out hulk and no one has done anything. And I live in a homeowner association tract.
Most people are underinsured for fire damage. So if the house is damaged in a fire, they can rebuild. If the house Is burned to the ground, there’s not enough coverage. The owners just walk away.
Also there are 5 square miles of burned out hulks and the land is now a toxic wasteland. It will be years before anyone can rebuild anything. And in the interim, the owners will be obligated to either continue to pay the mortgage or abandon the home to the bank. And a lot of the owners are now dead.
So now you know.
What bothers me is that these self-absorbed celebrities then lecture us about morality. They’re the modern Pharisees and Saducees.
Mick’s restaurant appears to have burned down.
You think everybody on Maui is rich?
Not everybody can rebuild. Not everybody has more than two nickels to their name. Do you want to tell me how somebody, who is poor, can rebuild after losing their house in a fire?
If she had lost her estate, she has the money to rebuild everything to the exact replica of what she would have lost. Many people there would move from a house to a one bedroom lot.
That’s probably a holdover from the colonial days.
And you cannot replace those lives that were lost.
My youngest daughter was friends with her niece, Nixie, when she was in high school years ago. They used to hang out together in her Paradise Valley house which Stevie also owned, IIRC.
