2 points make a line?

No, 2 points make an infinite number of points between the 2 points - with any 2 points IN that line made up of an infinite number of points between these 2, new, points.
Huh...makes sense.

Now, someone help us with determining the slope of an infinite number of points between 2 points on a graph.

So, it is safe to jump off a building because there are an infinite number of halfway points for you to pass before you don’t hit the ground.

You’ve illustrated well what the author of the article at my link was trying to explain … that there’s a world of difference between the physical parts that make up a line, for example, the line between the jump-off railing and the cement sidewalk, and the points we can mark on that line. In mathematics, there are an infinite number of points on the line to the sidewalk, each marking an exact location in space. But each point is an abstraction that has no physical correlation to the speed at which a falling body can cover those infinite number of points in space before it reaches the sidewalk.

Math is hard.

The sound you two may be hearing right about now is my Neanderthal brain going "xplody". :-)

Bleeeccchhh: I’ve hit the ground numerous times and not once, never, not happened, did one of those halfway points slow me down. And I never let mathematicians use my tools.
