True. That part of Hwy 31 is two-lane, but still a highway. And it was at night. And she's black (not poking fun, but for whatever reason blacks here in Alabama wear dark clothes when crossing the street at night). So it could be a situation where she thought he saw her but didn't. As another detail, this was close to midnight Saturday night (dark), but not raining.
So it could have been negligence on the driver's part, or the woman's part. We don't have enough info.
