Did the FBI do the right thing? Analyzing the raid that killed a man who threatened President Biden.

Criticism of the FBI’s killing of a Utah man who had made death threats against President Joe Biden on social media quickly made its way through far-right circles with some calling it an “assassination.” But law enforcement and legal experts say based on the information available the FBI’s actions were likely appropriate and justified given the man’s access to guns and the violent specificity of his threats, which went well beyond the bounds of free speech protections.“The First Amendment only goes so far. Not all speech is protected, and he crossed a line,” said Karl Schmae, a retired FBI supervisor and special agent who worked in the FBI’s Salt Lake City division for much of his 22 years of service, including as a supervisor of the domestic terrorism squad and 10 years on the SWAT team.

Shoot her before him, but make sure he sees it.

Oh, and this one, kill him, take him to his church and dump him in the pulpit.

The rest I leave up to you.

But pre-dawn raids with full SWAT is designed to send a message to the rest of the MAGAs out there..

Yup. And there are enough of them happening regularly to keep it in our faces.

It starts with you. Instead of being a skeptic, buy into and invest in the shuttering of the FBI and many other parts of government. Then spread the word and be an advocate for it. Turn other skeptics into advocates. Don’t just keep paying your taxes so the FBI continues to murder and abuse people’s rights.

“The FBI needs to be defunding. The FBI needs to be shuttered. Every agent on the Robertson raid needs to be charged with murder. Tried. Found guilty. And receive the death penalty.

There isn’t a single decent American employed by the FBI. At a minimum every FBI employee is complicit in his silence. After the FBI is shuttered, all FBI employees, current and former, need to be banned from working in government at every level and in any position. All of their pensions should be revoked”

I used to think talk like this was crazy.......

Honestly, there had to be a more responsible way to ‘arrest’ and ‘detain’ this 75 year old crippled man for his internet words. This is the same sort of thing we saw at Ruby Ridge and Waco. Neither needed to play out the way they did. They were both political statements, made by Government, and were needless bloodshed.

He was on their ‘radar’.

He might have searched for Biden’s visit details online and that might have caused the FBI to consider him more than an irate old man.

Significant financial transfers can also make make federal agents think dangerous action is likely.

A hotel reservation along a likely travel route would be another trigger.

Loss of cell phone tracking would trigger concern. He might have let his cell phone run out of power.

It was a message via an assassination. The body was left outside in full view with a white sheet on it to show “this is what we’ll do to MAGA if you say too much”.

some of the highlights of this article:

Early Wednesday morning, FBI agents went to Craig D. Robertson’s home in Provo to serve arrest and search warrants. Robertson had been under FBI surveillance for a number of months...

The self-described “MAGA Trumper” who agents shot during a raid on his home Wednesday just hours before Biden landed in Salt Lake City on the last leg of a Western states tour could be held out as some kind of hero.

“No doubt other extremists will look to him as a martyr,” said former Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber (remember him, how’s that investigation going?), who served in both the Obama and Trump administrations. “These people are very dangerous.”

Schmae said allegations by former President Donald Trump and his allies that the FBI has been “politicized” and “weaponized” against them are concerning because it “undermines trust in the FBI.”

I understand - the man was making open threats on social media to Biden

BUT - they guy was 300+ lbs, was 75 years old, walked with a walker. The Feds already KNEW this, as they had already been to his house. They had already talk to neighbors. They knew he was an isolated, cranky guy who rarely left his house - and literally had done NOTHING else, not even jay-walked, to warrant his execution.

If they wanted to arrest him, they could have easily followed him and grabbed him at the supermarket or gas station.

The FBI LOVES this shyte for their state-run media department - “redneck white guy in flyover country with guns poses threat to the nation!”

There is little doubt he was breaking the law.

The FBI had legal authority to arrest him.

I will presume the FBI acted lawfully unless evidence emerges to the contrary.

I read that he was always armed.

It has been suggested that an FBI watch could have been placed at his house during Joe’s visit. Being armed all the time would carry a bystander risk if he was not taken into custody at his residence.

The last time this crap happened (Ruby Ridge and Waco), there were a couple of little publicized incidents at Klamath Falls and Elko, Nevada that in my opinion put a damper on the gung ho nature of law enforcement that seemed to be trending at the time.

My fear is its going to happen again.

So, we're supposed to believe an agency that has been involved for more than eight years in framing Trump and that was involved in setting up the J6 "riot"?

In 2020, thousands of George Floyd rioters in May 0f 2020 tried to storm the White House. Not a one was shot and killed and the vast majority weren't arrested or served time in prison. The idea this guy was more of a threat to Biden than everyone in that mob was to Trump is absurd.

I no longer believe a single word from the FBI.

If I’m ever on a jury and they had the slightest involvement in the case I will vote to acquit.

Arresting of a person who is always armed probably is based on standard procedures of which FBI agents should know well.

The phrase ‘by the book’ comes to mind.

I don’t know what to make of this, but I think one of these days the FIB is going to SWAT someone / give them the Flynn treatment, but all of the agents will just vanish. And then they will send more, and it will turn into a Leon/The Professional type of standoff that doesn’t end well for the feds.
