I try to follow events on the ground. There are ebbs and flows in this war, as there are in most wars. It’s difficult to determine with certainty when the tides are changing. But there are hints which can be discerned by keeping eyes and mind open to information from ALL sources.
Meanwhile the human costs sadly continue to elevate.

According to military analyst Sean Bell, the president of Belarus has become “emboldened” by the presence of the Wagner Group.
Alexander Lukashenko has been “provoking” Poland by telling them “he’s holding them [Wagner] back from attacking Polish soil”, said Sean Bell.
This has enhanced the West’s concern about the “grave risk” of escalating the war, leading Poland to move up to 10,000 extra troops to the border with Belarus.
Good points. Finding reliable information from the noise in the news is harder than it used to be, and it is not getting any easier.

YES!!! We all agree!
Tell Putin to STOP the invasion & o gHOME!
He is murdering both the Russia & Ukraine military and Ukrainian civilians.
The kids keep making more popcorn with the microwave.

Meanwhile Zelensky screams GIBS-ME-DAT mo’ tens of billions dollars. GOTS TO KEEP THE MEAT-GRINDERS CHURNING AWAY.

It appears all the tanks and trucks are in reverse again. Why haven’t thy taken Crimea? How many trillions and soldiers to get a big fat W for these totalitarian Ukraine that trafficks women and children and one of the most corrupt nations in the world?
What does America get out of this? Quid pro quo on what wheat? Gas? A windmill?
“What does America get out of this?”
World peace. Removes the incentive, mostly, for aggressive, expansionist war by anyone. It is the foundation of the Pax Americana, that has suppressed great power rivalry and has served everyone well since 1945.
Yep, the good old BIG BROTHER’S WAR = PEACE.

If you are worried about your own mouths to feed, I have to question your competence.
“World peace. Removes the incentive, mostly, for aggressive, expansionist war by anyone. It is the foundation of the Pax Americana, that has suppressed great power rivalry and has served everyone well since 1945.”
Moreover with our spending only 5% of our military budget to support Ukraine’s war against Putin’s egotistical aggression, this expense is truly a bargain. Our actions have also helped motivate more of the NATO countries to devote 3% of their GNP to military preparedness. Failure of NATO countries had been one of Trumps complaints. In fact several are even allocating more than 3%. Our own military industries have benefited from sales such as an order by Poland for 500 Abrams tanks. We are also selling LNG (liquid natural gas) to Europe to replace Russian fuel sales Putin so foolishly lost.
We do need to pay attention that our MIC is not trying to promote inappropriate weapons for the current circumstances. Yesterday I posted someone’s long comment about what Ukraine needed to fight better and asked that people with more military knowledge than mine share their thoughts. PIF responded with several comments about why certain aircraft were unsuitable for the current circumstances. We cannot allow MIC companies to successfully lobby Congress to promote their favorite weapons for anappropriate circumstances. However, we do need to move more quickly to provide the weapons Ukraine does need to maintain their momentum against the Russian invader.
Yesterday I heard a Niger representative commenting on the military overthrow of the elected President. There has been talk of Wagner going back to Africa to “help” in various volatile situations including possibly supporting the military who have overthrown the Niger President. The Niger representative spoke of his and other African’s perception, as a result of the war in Ukraine, that Putin is weak and the Russian military has lost the respect of countries in Africa. This should open up opportunities for the US to improve diplomatic and business relationships in Africa. Potentially another valuable outcome of our 5% military budget committed to Ukraine support. Easier access to valuable resources and successful US business relations in Africa should result in more employment here, and more business and income taxes paid into our government budget making either a big dent in that 5% figure, or even exceeding it.

Enough problems at home.
Daily updates from Switzerland-based Davydov, on many months of threads in which you have particpated. Daily for months. So why is it "harder than it used to be" to get your information?
:
If you feel that way about it why are you wasting your time here at Russia/Ukraine discussion threads? By all means take care of your problems at home. We don’t need to be wasting our time responding to comments by people who say they don’t give a dam.
A fascinating question. This thread is not only for your view or those of a select few.
In the Russia/Ukraine discussion are indeed a minimum of three options: 1) seemingly pro-Z, 2) seemingly pro-P and 3) "not my circus" but being American remaining involved in funding the US proxy. So the third position is fully involved with Russia/Ukraine discussions.
--- Again to Karliner, etc." "By all means take care of your problems at home. We don't need to be wasting our time responding to comments by people who say they don't give a dam."
So, don't respond to comments, if in doing so you waste your time.
Personally I don't think I am wasting my time responding to your comment.
And with respect, in answering your questions on a previous day's thread, you did not further respond. Perhaps I was wasting my time with you? That wasn't my perception, taking time to document what RPM was in the context of YouTube payments. Others to whom you also addressed your query did not answer your question.

“Perhaps I was wasting my time with you?”
Sad but true.
Perhaps, what you fail to understand we realized all is a waste of our time with you.
