“AS I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS VOTE more and more, what they were trying to do and the way they were trying to do it was just kind of creepy.”

For full context and posterit, we used to post entire articles.
Until deep state went after FR via law fare law suits claiming copyright violations.
That’s why most articles are only excerpted now.
But if a source has no problem with posting the entire article the whole thing can be posted.
Thanks for the background, but it seems to me if I don’t have an idea of what the source’s copyright policy is then it makes sense just to post the excerpt.
After Trump is gone, Ohio will return to a swing state…..my prediction based on the stats.
~~~
Trump was popular in Ohio because he campaigned on (and to some degree delivered on) trade agreement reform. Getting better trade deals and protecting (or getting back) jobs.
This is the reason why, in the same state that Trump can win rather well, Sharrod Brown (D) wins. I don’t recall hearing much from him lately, but early on Brown portrayed himself as a working class hero. It played well to the middle class, trades-person, union/blue collar ethos.
You didn’t post an excerpt. You posted one line.
It makes it seem dodgy.
Where do you see this?
The source I found showed a three to one advantage. It could be wrong, but I would like to see the source showing roughly equal amounts of money.
Republicans will keep losing until they get rid of Dominion machines.
The big cities with their larger populations will have an even bigger advantage over the rest of the state.
Abortion strongly appears to be a political "third rail", even among supposedly conservative women.
We can successfully restrict 3rd trimester abortions.
Attempting to go further will create strong political opposition that will sweep Democrats into office.
We thought that overturning Roe was a great victory. It was not. It makes abortion an issue in every state and local election.
“Leftist groups spent 14.8 million. Pro-Yes votes spent 4.8 million. Not that hard to predict huge turnout and defeat with a three to one spending margin.”
Large turnout (through cheating). Not that we can believe any vote totals (I am sure another massive vote by mail ballot harvest). Not only that but the money likely came from out of state and an army of donor mules and phantom voters.
I am sure Planned Parenthood pays of both Dem and RINOs for the results they want. Elections numbers in this country can never be trusted. Voters will never have the power of the vote, those in power will never surrender that power. Why do you think they are going after Trump so hard?
They (both sides leaders) want to destroy any chance of free and fair elections.
Overturning The R v W decision has proven to be a disaster for the country and l think it gets worse. The rats are going to get a ballot initiative in every swing state in November, they will time it to get a state takeover. I honestly cannot think of a way to beat this. In short, the women vote is going to finally ruin us.
It is a great victory for the Constitution. It puts the issue back where it belongs at the state level. The GOP at the state level will have to figure out how to live with and craft the issue. It will likely be different for different states.
That depends on the state. In Texas, it’s required to get a 2/3’rds vote in both houses of the legislature to propose a constitutional amendment that then goes to the voters for ratification. We don’t have an initiative and referendum process.
Good post
“The proposed requirements of 88 counties along with Issue 1′s proposal to eliminate the 10-day cure period that allows citizen petitioners to collect more signatures if the signature verification process sees the campaign fall below county or state quotas.
60% or whatever, the rino scum fully intended to allow the petitioners to go through a great deal of effort and then deny them in the end.“
Yeah, this was BS
Let’s face it. The majority of women (or people with vaginas) love abortion.
There is no need need for condoms or the pill. Abortion has taken the place of contraceptives.
In the same way that the sanctity of marriage has been destroyed (by feminist and homosexuals), the blessing of child-birth has also been destroyed.
Society has devolved into a primal, primitive state of perpetual decadence and Hedonism.
The battle over abortion started in the states where legislatures, fearing the power of the churches, handed the issue over to the people via referenda. The voters spoke, and abortion restrictions fell in state after state via the initiative and referendum mechanisms.
The battle royale was New York where it had to be fought in the legislature. That was a knock-down drag-out brawl that played out at family dinner tables. The legislature loosened restrictions, and Gov. Rockefeller signed it into law. Abortion opponents threatened consequences at the next election but only showed how weak they were when nothing happened.
The Supreme Court should have stayed out of it by refusing to take the case and punting it back to the Texas courts. But having created a national right to abortion, two generations of women came to believe they possessed that right. They were happy to have that backstop for their sexual freedom, and men were happy to have that eraser handy for the same reason. Having experienced sexual freedom, people are loathe to give it up, so you need to have a good reason to take away what people perceive as their inalienable rights.
Most arguments against abortion are based on strong religious belief. Catholics used to be the largest faith in America, but now Unbelief has replaced them as Number One. For many, God the Hairy Thunderer has been replaced by God the Cosmic Muffin. It’s hard to make a religious argument when so many have put religion aside for a secular or somewhat “spiritual” approach.
To end abortion, you need to convince people to end sexual freedom and get them to behave like they did prior to the Sixties. That’s a hard sell. Once the cat is out of the bag, it’s difficult to get it to go back in.
You also have a lot of Conservatives who are tired of paying for welfare babies, the kind that people don’t want to adopt.
I know a lot of them. They’re ok with restrictions on abortion, but never a total ban.
