Cigs cannot start a fire, that’s propaganda.

Tested that and proved that at 39 wild fires I was on

( not to mention what I was taught at USFS fire school . tobacco doesn’t burn hot enough to light a sustainable burn with anything other than tobacco. A cig in a matchbook can start a fire, but alone can’t.)

The 3 original fires were not in either of the 2 beachside campgrounds , not a camp fire start.

The islanders were warned a week ahead about high winds and extreem fire danger,

no one was being “ careless” !

Hawaiians LOVE their land , and to suggest they were careless is to not know hawaians.

Arson has been a problem on maui for several years now ,

Homeless cooking their feral chickens and meth cooks don’t burn down their own home and or market at O dark 30 in 3 separate places at roughly the same time.

Maui is 78 to 82 24/7/365 on average. There are no fires for heat of homeless or campers.

I’m appalled bannon made the statement he did.

To blame those poor people for their own disaster was reprehensible.

Not even the homeless or meth cooks would chance a fire in those high winds.

There’s no place to escape to on an island with so few roads.

I think he was eluding to eco-terrorist, not an accident!

Have read several articles that it’s thought many of the fires started in Europe are thought to be started by terrorist

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it was happening here.
