I’ve been in the medical field for 40+ years and have seen hundreds of these “miracle drug” articles. Seems they all die a convenient death.
WE have hope. WE have prayers.
What the textbooks usually leave out is that advances in science and technology usually come only after a long trail of failure. In this instance, science finally developed tools that enabled the approach of creating a drug against a molecule essential to solid tumors. Try long enough, get the right tools, and eventually any lock can be picked.
There’s little profit in a cure. The big money is in “treatment”.
I guess some things are possible but most of these things over promise and under deliver letting the cat out of the bag way too early.
Killing cells in a petri dish and leaving healthy cells along is one thing. Administering it to hoomans is another.
I wonder what price they will put on this “saving your life” drug this time?
