I recall once in shop class a kid drove a nail thru his hand. He yanked it out. They made him go get medical help, otherwise I’m not sure he would have LOL.

H.S. Junior year, we had just gotten our class rings. A class mate and friend of mine was going out the door of English class, he jumped up and slapped the over head door jamb and there was a screw head sticking out, far enough to hang him by his brand new class ring. He was hanging about a foot off the floor, screaming like a banshee, another class mate and I lifted him up enough so he could free himself.
He was taken for medical help with a broken finger and stitches to the finger. That was 1962, he’s still living and we’re still friends at 78 years old. He has a stiff ring finger, right hand with a scar on it to this day.
Did that with a piece of glass tube I was too impatient to heat properly in a lab class. Went to the ER to get the hand stitched and yet another tetanus shot (LOL) and then back to school.
