I could use that 3 car garage. The rest of it; no.

If you buy a house for that kind of money, you’re paying for the location, not for the house itself. Most people just tear down the house and build the house they want on it.

If your location isn’t that great, people aren’t going to spend the money for the house.

I never understand living in close contact with people, in th zoom era, even at the beach, when you have a private jet, a helicopter, a superyacht or better a TBM on floats. There are better views in to be had within 50 miles of I-90 requiring a few loads of gravel per mile driveways. The lifestyle east of Spokane is so much more rewarding. I get to live there 2 weeks out of a year, rather only see people cutting hay, than the benefits of urban life.

The people who buy houses in this price range really want it to cost more, these are the new Certificates of Deposit.

Why would anyone want to live anywhere near Seattle?

Sure! Move to Seattle, where they have 2 drug cartels fighting for the homeless masses they use to rob businesses to generate cash to buy the drugs they sell. Last month one homeless camp went up in flames as a result. Soros DA. Need I say more?

Crystal Lagoons makes blue water by the acre.

Don’t overpay for waterfront property.

I couldn't find which Seattle neighborhood this was in.

I wonder if this mansion is actually in Medina, which is where Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos live.

Medina is a small town across the water from Seattle. It's especially wealthy, with top security. Many years ago they installed police cameras on the highway off ramp, so they photograph every license plate that entered Medina.

IIRC Hunters point is not in the city of Seattle.

Hunts Point is actually a separate town on the east side of the 520 floating bridge.

I think they contract with Medina for Police service.

Medina has the coolest and cleanest cop cars in Washington state.

Once a week, a Medina cop car drives over to the Chipotle in downtown Bellevue. It takes like three cops to handle the giant take out order!

Must be Bill Gates Night or something?

I just wrote Comment #15 about Medina and Hunts Point.

Did not see your question before.

Hunts Point is the middle of three peninsulas that point north and south off the northeast corner of the 520 floating bridge.

I lived in King county for over 22 years and am very familiar with the East side and Seattle. I’ve spend more than a few hours on Lake Washington and gone through the locks, lots of times. But all that would be gobbdly gook to those not familiar with lake Washington. So I kept it short.

Michael Jordan built his house in a crappy location in Chicago so no one is buying it.

Bill Gates and several other billionaires live in this neighborhood.

Now you can understand the huge price cut ... who wants to live in a neighborhood an over abundance of white trash.
