If you buy a house for that kind of money, you’re paying for the location, not for the house itself. Most people just tear down the house and build the house they want on it.
If your location isn’t that great, people aren’t going to spend the money for the house.
I never understand living in close contact with people, in th zoom era, even at the beach, when you have a private jet, a helicopter, a superyacht or better a TBM on floats. There are better views in to be had within 50 miles of I-90 requiring a few loads of gravel per mile driveways. The lifestyle east of Spokane is so much more rewarding. I get to live there 2 weeks out of a year, rather only see people cutting hay, than the benefits of urban life.
The people who buy houses in this price range really want it to cost more, these are the new Certificates of Deposit.
