My Kentucky fried chicken...oops...changed to KFC...is now southern fried chicken and is sometimes made north of the Mason Dixon.
Maryland crab cakes, California roll, Chicago pizza, Philadelphia lawyer, etc.

A few years back when bushels were skyrocketing around DelMarVa, A friend had a number of "clients" from the Eastern Shore sending vans down to the Pamlico Sound in NC every morning to pick up fresh blue crabs at a much more reasonable cost. Of course, they were being advertised as Maryland's Famous Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs.
Haha, and many customers also believe their steamed crab bushels were seasoned with Old Bay...
